The Oakwood Surgery was founded in the 1970’s by Dr Cambell who ran the practice from a tiny building on Cantley Lane. Dr Cambell was later joined in partnership by Dr Hasenfuss and through the success of their partnership Dr Harris and Dr Hamlin joined the team followed by Dr Phillips and Dr Khan.

Dr Harding joined the Partnership in 2011 and Dr Eggitt in 2012.  Dr Nwokoma and Mr Harris joined our clinical team in 2019.

The current surgery was built in 1991 for the specific purpose of provision of family medicine to the residents of Bessacarr and Cantley.  Although, now we provide healthcare to patients all over England.

We are an advanced training practice and support the education of student doctors, foundation doctors, General Practice doctors, Nurses and Pharmacists.
